Violinist ANI KAVAFIAN has performed as soloist with the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra and San Francisco Symphony, among many others. She has appeared at the White House on three separate occasions for three different presidents.
Kavafian received the Avery Fisher Career Grant and won the Young Concert Artists International Auditions. She appears frequently at the Chamber Music Society at Lincoln Center and is on the faculty at Yale.
At Vivac-e Virtual Violin and Viola Festival, Kavafian will teach lessons to participates and lead a course that investigates and makes sense of the thought-provoking and sometimes even perplexing markings in Sibelius’ remarkable Violin Concerto.
