Leo Gevisser, 17, is presently studying under Professors Kathryn Brown and Daniel Shapiro at the Cleveland Institute of Music Young Artists Program, and will continue his studies at The Juilliard School in fall 2020. Leo recently won the Grand Prize at the 2019 Baltimore International Piano Festival Competition and in 2019, his chamber music group, Arcus Trio, was awarded the Grand Prize and Junior Division Prize at the 6th Coltman Chamber Music Competition. He received first prize at the CIM Preparatory Department Concerto Competition (2017), the Cleveland Suburban Symphony Young Soloists Concerto Competition (2017), SAMRO Hubert van der Spuy National Music Competition (2016), and the Atterbury National Piano Competition (2015). Leo has attended summer festival programs including the Amalfi Coast Music and Arts Festival, Todi International Piano Masters, Adamant School in Vermont, Gijon International Piano Festival and Baltimore International Piano Festival.
