From the perspective of a professional cellist and recording engineer, this course is an overview of the recording process with emphasis on creating successful pre-screening submissions. Aspects such as session preparation, recording, basic editing, and methods of dissemination of audio and video content will be discussed. Microphone techniques will be explained and demonstrated. In addition to the live class, links to helpful software tutorials will be provided. Questions are welcome, and discussion encouraged.
