Nathaniel Zhang is a native of Sugar Land, Texas and currently studies at the Eastman School of Music under Marina Lamozov. Nathaniel was a finalist at the 2019 Eastman School of Music Piano Concerto Competition; received 3rd prize at the 2018 National Steinway Piano Competition and won first prize at the Texas Music Teachers’ Association Concerto Competition. Nathaniel has appeared as a participant at the International Piano Festival at the University of Houston (2018 and 2017), Southern Methodist University Institute for Young Pianists, International Institute for Young Musicians in Lawrence, Kansas, and the Austin Piano Festival (2015). Nathaniel is a dedicated community volunteer and founded the Music of Harmony Nonprofit Organization in 2018, which gives concerts and other volunteer help in the greater Houston, Texas area.
