Fei Chen currently lives in California and is studying under Rose Chen. She will attend the Peabody Institute at John Hopkins in the fall of 2020 to major in piano performance. Since her introduction to piano at age 5, Fei has won prizes in various piano competitions including the Elite International Music Competition, American Fine Arts Festival, and the United States International Music Competition. She received the Panel Honor award in 2018, one of the highest achievements in the Certificate of Merit program conducted by the Music Teachers’ Association of California. Fei has also participated in many summer music programs including the C’est Bon Chamber Music Academy, the United States International Music Competition’s Summer Music Festival and the Amalfi Coast Music and Arts Festival. Fei has been very active in her high school community, she has played flute and piano in Winter Percussion and Wind Ensemble and rearranged works for her school’s Music With a Mission Club.
