Xiqiao Zhang started playing piano at the age of 5 and currently studies under Joseph Rackers at the Eastman School of Music. Former teachers include Xiaoxue Hu (professor at the China Conservatory of Music) and ChuFang Huang at the affiliated high school of the China Conservatory of Music. Xiqiao Zhang has attended many piano festivals where she has studied with Jerome Lowenthal, Yoheved Kaplinsky, ChuFang Huang and Matti Raekallio. Xiqiao Zhang has won prizes in both domestic and international competitions.
