Celicia Thendean, age 12, is currently enrolled at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music pre-college program studying under Ms. Machiko Kobialka. Celicia won Best Outstanding Gold Medalist at the U.S. Open Music Competition, first prize in the American Protege International Music Talent competition, several prizes in the US International Music Competition in the Piano and Vocal categories, third prize at Chopin Competition in San Francisco (2018), first prize at MTAC VOCE Eastern Alameda Branch competition for Cello and Vocal ensemble categories, won the Marilyn Mindell Piano Competition (Junior Division), the Kamsa Competition and she was a prize winner and Contemporary award winner in East Bay Music Competition. Celicia attended Music Fest Perugia in the summer of 2019, performing Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3 with conductor Paolo Ponziano Ciardi. Besides playing piano, Celicia enjoys playing cello, oboe, singing, reading, dancing and math.
