Grant Smith attends California Polytechnic State University as a music and civil engineering major. He is currently studying piano under Dr. W. Terrence Spiller and is on scholarship for both music performance and engineering. Grant won the California Polytechnic Solo Competition in 2019 playing the organ, first prize in the MTAC Piano Performance Competition in 2016 and he received an honorable mention in the MTNA California Composition Competition in 2015 and 2016. This year he was accepted into the Ettlingen International Piano Competition in Ettlingen, Germany.
