Victoria Frances Young is an 18-year-old classical pianist and composer. She is currently a Composition Major at Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University studying with Professor Oscar Bettison. As a pianist, She has performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Steinway Hall. Victoria made her orchestral debut when she was six and made her international solo debut in the Dominican Republic when she was ten. She has won first prize in the Suites and Partitas category of the Tureck International Bach Competition, the grand prize of the 40th Midland-Odessa Symphony National Young Artists Competition, and the Special Jury Prize of the 8th J.S. Bach International Piano Competition in Würzburg, Germany—becoming the youngest and second American prizewinner in the history of the competition. As a composer, Victoria was accepted into the Los Angeles Philharmonic Associate Composer Program in 2016. She has premiered her new works at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the Colburn Music Academy in Los Angeles.
