Fjoralba (Alba) Zguro is an Albanian pianist currently based in Waco, Texas. Fjoralba grew up in Albania and started studying the piano at age 5, under the tutelage of Entela Kotelli. She attended the Tefta Tashko Koco School of Music for 12 years, winning several first and absolute prizes in national youth piano competitions such as EPTA Albania and Kengete Tokes. Fjoralba continued her studies in America at Tyler Junior College where she received an Associate of Arts degree in Piano Performance under Dr. Gjergji Gaqi. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance at Baylor University under Dr. Jani Parsons. This past year, she won the Concerto Competition at Baylor University and will perform Ravel’s Concerto in G major in April 2021 with the Baylor Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Stephen Heyde.
