Junhao Wang is currently studying piano with Dr. Jack Winerock. He has competed extensively and won first prize in the Steinway Piano Competition at Schmitt Music in Kansas City (2018), Helen Taylor Johannesen International Piano Competition (2014, 2016), Utah Music Teachers Association Piano Concerto Competition (2013, 2015) and the American Fine Arts Festival Concerto Competition (2013). Junhao also achieved second prize in the IIYM Blüthner International Piano Competition (2018), the National MTNA Piano Competition (2015-16), third prize in the Seattle International Piano Competition (2015) and the Kosciuszko Foundation Chopin Competition for Young Pianists (2018). As a performer, Junhau has played concertos with the Kansas City Symphony, Heritage Philharmonic, Midwest Chamber Ensemble, American West Symphony of Utah and the Salt Lake Symphony.
