Anthony Chan was born in Sydney, Australia and began his violin studies when he was six years old. He is currently a junior at the New England Conservatory and studies with Ayano Ninomiya and Nicholas Kitchen. Anthony Chan is a major prize winner of the Junior Wenkart Foundation Competition, as well as the Ku-ring-gai Philharmonic Orchestra Concerto Competition and Sydney Eisteddfod. As an active solo, chamber and orchestral musician, he has performed across the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, France, China, and Australia, and at major venues including the Het Concertgebouw, Carnegie Hall in New York and the Sydney Opera House. Anthony hopes to pursue his love for chamber music and start a chamber music organization in Australia, similar to that of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
