Haeun Honney Kim is a nineteen year old violinist who started learning the violin when she was four years old. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at the New England Conservatory. Haeun won third prize at the Blount Slawson National Young Artist Competition and was a winner of the National YoungArts Competition. She received the grand prize at the 2017 Lois Pickard Competition, the 2017 Delta Symphony Young Artist Competition and was a semi-finalist in the 2019 Cooper International Violin Competition. Haeun appeared as a soloist with the Louisiana Philharmonic in Atlanta, GA, the Southern Adventist University in Chattanooga, TN, and the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra in Hilton Head, SC. She attended the New York String Orchestra Seminar, Aspen Summer Music Festival and Heifetz International Music Institute, and was invited to be a member of the 2020 Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival in Germany.
