Amelia Posner-Hess is a 16 year old at Carolina Friends School in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and is currently studying with Fabián López. In 2018, she placed first in the Junior division of the Durham Music Association competition. Amelia is in the Duke University Strings School-Ciompi Quartet Collaborative program where she is receiving coachings from the members of the Ciompi Quartet. Since the age of 14, Amelia has been playing in the first violin section of the University of North Carolina Symphony Orchestra. Last summer, she attended Eastern Music Festival.
