Daniel Qi, a 12-year-old violinist from Delaware, has been a student of Charles Parker at the Temple University Music Preparation Division’s Center for Gifted Young Musicians since the age of five. Daniel had his first solo performance with an orchestra as the winner of the 2019 Delaware Concerto Competition for Young Musicians. He is first prize winner of the 2019 Estella Hillersohn Frankel Violin Scholarship and a finalist of the Philadelphia Orchestra’s 2020 Greenfield Student Competition in the children’s division. Aside from solo works, Daniel loves to play chamber music.
