Carlos Walker is an 18 year old violist who will attend the McDuffie Center for Strings under Victoria Chiang and Rebecca Albers. He started violin at the age of 10 and eventually switched over to viola at 16. Carlos achieved first chair in FMEA all-state, won his local youth orchestra competition, and has been accepted to tour with the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America. He believes in the power of music and using it as an effective means of communication that surpasses any verbal communication.
