What is the Vivac-e Audio Kit?

The Vivac-e Audio Kit is a package of equipment, including an external microphone, which all participants receive upon paying tuition. Festival audio engineers consult with participants in advance to make sure they are getting the most out of their external microphone. Participants get to keep their microphone following the festival.

How many master classes do participants receive?

Each program offers different features. Click on the following programs for more information.

Can I observe the festival but not participate?

Yes! You can join us as an auditor to watch a concert, for an entire day of events, or for the entire festival through our festival passport.  Click here for more information.

When is the application deadline?

The piano application deadline is June 1.
The violin/viola application deadline is June 20.
The cello application deadline will be announced shortly.

What do I need at home to participate?

Participants must have access to the following resources to be eligible to apply:

  • An instrument!
  • High-speed internet connection (ethernet preferred; higher the speed, the better!)
  • A laptop or desktop computer

What if I don't know how to use the external microphone?

Don’t worry! Our team will be in touch in advance (and multiple times if necessary!) to help you create the best sound from home. From tutorials and hands-on video conferencing, we’ll make sure you’re prepared!

What's the best way to watch concerts?

If you have a a smart tv with good speakers, we recommend watching them on your TV! If not, we recommend using the best headphones you have and watching on your tablet or computer.

When will I find out about application results?

Applicants will be notified of admission results shortly after the application deadline.
